The report of the team case study aims to demonstrate competency in Risk, Quality, and People Management. In particular, this paper is part of a project whose goal is the handover of a completed project management plan at the end of the semester. An indicator of the acquisition of listed competencies is the achievement and demonstration of proficiency in using the software AutoCAD. AutoCAD (Computer-aided design) is a program that is utilized by architects, construction managers, and engineers for a more efficient and simple process of project design. Additionally, various professionals can use the program for drawing and modeling in both 2D and 3D.
Criteria were chosen to determine the level of proficiency in software that will be measured at the end of the project. The assessment criteria were determined using data from institutions including the University of London, University of Malta, Portland Community College, and Eskisehir Technical University. Each of these aspects reflects the ability to perform specific tasks using AutoCAD software functions. These criteria are aimed at assessing the ability to create 2D and 3D drawings and models using the tools of the program. An evaluation of the comfort of using the AutoCAD interface, utilizing of command panel, menus, viewpoints, and command icons is also included. Additionally, criteria assess understanding the AutoCAD environment by creating new models, opening existing models, and saving models.
Finally, the ability to operate effectively in different coordinate systems is evaluated. Demonstration of proficiency in each of the described competencies reflected by the criteria is the 3D model of {INSERT MODEL NAME}, which will be presented 13 weeks after the start of the project. The report includes scope statement, cost and time plan, an outline of the human resources and communication plans, performance measures for the project and the main risks, quality and procurement issues the team may face.
