Business Plans’ Role in Healthcare Institutions

It is imperative to note that the role of business plans in healthcare institutions has been increasing over the years, and their importance has been recognized. Moreover, core aspects need to be discussed to get a better understanding of their purpose.

A business plan format is a set of rules that should be followed when developing a particular project. Moreover, it should follow an outline most of the time to ensure that it is well-organized and easy to follow (Holland & Rohe, 2012). Business plan formats are used in my facility to ensure that no valuable time is lost when projects are reviewed. Also, it is much easier to keep track of all activities and set of actions that are necessary (Walshe & Smith, 2011). My role is to ensure that health care professionals have an understanding of what type of format should be used in a particular situation, and I should be able to identify the strengths of a project (Roussel, 2011). Also, I must be capable of finding the necessary information promptly.

Project management tools are used to document the objectives of the project. Project management strategies can be described as a set of approaches that are frequently used in healthcare institutions to manage the process of implementation and to keep track of activities (Shirley, 2011). They are used in my facility to ensure that no issues with scheduling occur and resources are used efficiently (Wager, Lee, & Glaser, 2013). My role is to identify which approaches are the most reasonable in a particular situation. Moreover, I should have an understanding of all the processes and must keep track of the progress.

Purpose, scope, and problem statements are brief descriptions of the objectives and main points of a change management project (Gurbutt, 2011). Their primary aim is to provide detailed information about a particular plan and how it may be implemented. Moreover, they are used in my facility to ensure that everything is going according to the schedule and individuals have an understanding of what aspects need to be prioritized over others. It is paramount to mention that my role is to keep track of the progress and to identify if the goals that have been set are reached.

In conclusion, it is evident that the role of business plans is vital, and they are an essential part of change management. Moreover, an understanding of all the aspects is necessary for a professional in this area.
