Coca Cola drinks

The Coca Cola Company has a global reach of 200 countries around the world with 300 bottling partners. Coca-Cola has been in business for the past 124 years with an employee base of 92,800 based in its different countries around the world. The number of products produced by Coca-Cola is approximately 3,300, with this number increasing due to innovations. The company is committed to local markets by considering the cultures of the countries where it is based. One of the outreach programs Coca Cola has been involved in is awarding a $ 400,000 grant to Michigan State University that will be used to establish an Agricultural and Natural Resource packaging innovation center within the University. It is also involved in water projects in eight continents around the world.

Fast Food

The world’s largest fast-food restaurant, McDonald’s, with its base in the USA, has a total number of 58 million customers in a day which is considered to be very high in the fast-food industry. The fast-food outlet has 31,000 restaurants in 119 countries worldwide, with a total employee base of 400,000. For its global outreach programs, the fast-food company has been involved in sponsorship activities such as the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), which supports the college education of Hispanic youth as well as basketball scholarships.

Coffee

Starbucks is the largest global coffee house. It was first started in Seattle Washington, which has now become the coffee house’s headquarters. It has 17,133 stores in 55 countries around the world. One of the major global outreach programs Starbucks has been involved in has been reducing the amount of plastic garbage around the world. It has introduced a 10 percent discount for any customer who buys coffee with their reusable cup. This concept will be seen to encourage customers to use environmentally friendly coffee cups as well as reduce the coffee houses over-reliance on paper plastic cups that are viewed to be an environmental hazard.

Phone Airtime

Vodafone Group Incorporated is the largest global telecommunications company with its headquarters in the United Kingdom. The company boasts of having a subscriber base of 347 million. It operates in 31 countries with partner network members in 44 countries, one of them being Verizon Wireless, which is the leading telecommunications provider in the USA. Vodafone has been involved in outreach programs such as donating $ 1 million to the World Wide Web Foundation to support entrepreneurial activities through the web.

The dependence between buying habits and the global level of the companies

Most customer’s like to be associated with products and that have an international appeal. International products are known to be of high and superior quality to meet the diverse demands of the international market. This association with international brands makes the customer’s attention and interest in less global companies lower. Less global companies have a smaller reputation, and their products are not that well known in the international market.

Having a global mindset without traveling or working for a multinational company

It is not possible to be globally attuned to the world if one has never left their home country. Traveling enables a person to experience different conditions, practices, and cultures. The exposure experienced from traveling enables an individual to have a global mindset that is different from that of their home country. Gaining employment with any company that has worldwide operations will involve the employee knowing the various countries that have the company at its base. It would see the employee getting globalized training that will prepare them for a situation where they have to relocate to any of the host countries for a certain work duration. The training also ensures employees have a global mindset that will prepare them to meet any adversity in their work duties.
