Research of Mental Health Aspects

Introduction

Mental health refers to the mental and psychological well-being of an individual. It can manifest in various ways and be caused by factors such as dissatisfaction and others. It is important that one can undergo treatment and make a full recovery. This field research has focused on themes of mental health.

Corruption

The theme of corruption is brought about by the presence of common phrases and words such as embezzlement, public funds, abuse of positions and authority for individual gain integrity and a transparent management system. The level of corruption in certain organizations and countries can be influenced by many factors such as political and economic environment, management and also morality. Measure to control the corruption levels are put into place. Such measures include policies and vetting of officials for integrity before taking up seats in the government.

Memory loss

Loss of memory is forgetting knowledge previously learned or not yet learned. Encoding failure, interference theory, proactive, retroactive interference forgetting, memory loss are some of the phrases suggesting the theme of memory loss. The effects of loss of memory can be devastating and frustrating not only to the individual, but also other close relations. (Rideout & Fox., 2018)

Alcoholism

Preoccupation with alcohol and uncontrolled drinking can be due to either alcohol or emotional dependence. Alcohol consumption can be influenced by age, peer pressure, stress, lack of parental involvement, and the ease of accessing alcohol (Gibbins, 2019). The researchers’ alcohol consumption had a detrimental effect on family and friends.

Negative effects of social media

This theme is seen through the words Facebook, Instagram. There is a strong amount of evidence showing that Instagram harms the mental health of the participants of the study. This s due to the fake lifestyles others lead in social media and the individual’s think they are leading a better life than them thus harming their mental health (Rideout & Fox., 2018)

Mental health problems

Mental health problems are evidenced by the words stress, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, body dissatisfaction. The issues are caused by several identified causes such as frequent use of social media (Smith, 2014). Many issues contribute to many the acceleration of mental health problems.

Mental health management

Mental health management has been seen through Emotional regulation therapy has been discussed extensively. Key phrases such as treating anxiety, treating stress and depression, no delayed treatment, and getting full recovery (Rideout & Fox., 2018). Two forms of treatment were compared, MAC and ERT, the emotional was found to be more effective.

Recovery

The researcher shows that he/she suffered from alcoholism back in 2016. The administered to patients with mental health issues such as emotional regulation therapy showed that it was beneficial and promoted relief from anxiety, depression and other emotional disorders (Rideout & Fox., 2018).

Mental health problems tended to lead to alcoholism. However, the exacerbation of alcoholism was due to other factors such as accessibility to alcohol, age, supervision by parents and peer pressure. Alcoholism brought about detrimental behaviours and strained the relationships between parents and family. The alcoholic behavior can also spew out of control and affect other aspects such as career (Gibbins, 2019).

Issues relating to mental health are closely related to the negative effects of social media. With frequent use, comparisons in social media led to a strong impact on the mental and psychological wellbeing of the individual. Though the individuals went through mental distress, there was hope for them through management and treatment. Some of the treatment include emotional regulation therapy and some managed a full recovery (Bratman et al., 2019).

Conclusion

The main ideas that have been identified include corruption, recovery, mental health problems, mental health management, alcoholism and memory loss. Most of the above themes are interconnected and revolve around the topic of mental health.
