Brightly colored, Miami’s one of the most famous beaches, South Beach, can be described as an earthly paradise. The breathtaking view of the ocean, with its bright blue and green color and pure water, already bestows you with this sense of being in a utopian world. Gazing at the horizon, one can feel the infinity and grandness of the ocean. The sound of waves approaching you, crashing the rocks on the other side, gives you a feeling as if they are trying to convey something. The evenings along the beach are supplemented by the magnificent red, yellow, and orange colored sunsets. The clouds are so close to the ground that it seems like very soon, they will almost border the environment.
While some birds seem to be trying their best to create a calm, carefree atmosphere for you, other sounds, like the one of the Laughing Kookaburra, seem like they are teasing and laughing over you. As one walks along the street, they will encounter hotels like Art Deco and steakhouses such as Smith & Wollensky, clubs looming over you, inviting you to taste the bite of the carefree youth. As one travels further along the beach, the hotels will become grander and grander, as if competing to demonstrate their greatness, authority, and magnificence (Miami and Beaches). Finally, South Beach has this smell, which results from the clean, coastal air combined with chips, fish, and coconut. All these characteristics, added with the laugh, the play, and the chat of other people, conjure the feeling of a relaxed, carefree environment. South Beach is one of the few places on earth with such heavenly elements that anyone should experience at least once in a lifetime.
