Advocacy of Human Service Discussion

One of the most critical problems mentioned in the scope of policy advancement is related to improving the quality of social programs. These criteria include the increasing affordability and complexity of the programs. According to research, some impediments to policy advocacy are associated with communicating the value of advocacy programs (Janssen, 2019). Other problems include the need for more funding and the supporters ready to offer and implement dome ethical changes.

The primary tasks to overcome the problems of the policy advocacy are ensuring a more culturally responsive policy and making these more relevant for the households and communities. The first step can be achieved by providing more ethical services to all individuals disregarding which minorities they belong to (Janssen, 2019). For example, some people may face difficulties in healthcare related to problems with religion or traditions. Culturally responsive policy advocacy and services need to be adjusted for such people. This identified issue is related to the need for more integration of the programs with community-based agencies. The second step underlines the importance of implementing the agreements with community-based agencies, which can help ensure an increase in the affordability of the services (Janssen, 2019). This is especially relevant for people with disabilities who cannot get particular services far away from their living area.

The two steps directly correlate with increasing the quality of the programs related to the eight policy sectors. Cultural responsiveness and integration with households and communities can significantly improve the level of justice advocacy within the scope of programs. The core of the changes is including the minorities’ interests in the service provision process. Such an approach can achieve ethical and equal programs and policies.
