America has been a multinational country from time immemorial, and representatives of different nations are trying to get there. This usually leads to positive developments, as it increases cultural diversity. In particular, Asian Americans have a significant impact on the country. Increasingly, Asians are being elected to political agencies. This contributes to the development of tolerance inherent in the policy of the state. These people understand the importance of internationalization; therefore, they are actively promoting issues related to it.
In addition, representatives of Asian countries influence the US economy. They come to America for education and work and do everything in their power to be successful. Thanks to this, they get good results and do their job efficiently. As a result, the economic condition of the country is improving. Asian Americans impact society as well: intercultural relations contribute to the increase in national diversity and international contacts (Hsu, 2017). In addition, many representatives of different races in society contribute to the development of tolerance.
Undoubtedly, the internationalization of America has always had and still has some negative aspects. It is mainly associated with racism, which is still prevalent among white people concerning representatives of other races. Thus, even the presence of a large number of Asian Americans does not guarantee the absence of racism in various fields. For example, getting a job as an Asian American can be difficult due to employer prejudice. The media is also a negative factor because they often portray “standard” people in advertisements, avoiding diversity in nations. However, fortunately, more people are aware of the problems of racism and are trying to fight it, contributing to a more comfortable climate in society.
