Introduction
Staying physically active is one surest way to keep human bodies healthy. Exercise improves the overall quality and well-being of life. Workouts can bring a feel-good sensation and relieve anxiety, stress, anger, and depression. It lifts one’s mood, making it possible for one to socialize with other people.
Physical activities help strengthen muscles, giving the body stamina and the ability to function correctly. Individuals appear physically able, fit, and flexible to perform their duties. Too much relaxation increases the risk of stroke and heart disease.
To be healthy, a person must exercise regularly, have the proper diet, and sleep well. Optimal health makes one feel better about themselves, and their self-esteem is enhanced, making them confident as they interact with other people. People who are physically engaged tend to live longer than those who do not because untimely deaths caused by terminal conditions are eliminated.
Main body
Doctors recommend regular physical activities, particularly for people who are aging. It is automatic that most young people engage in exercises often due to their schedule. Sports programs in many schools and other institutions act as an aiding tool for youngsters to involve them in manual movements. Exercise helps control body weight and prevent obesity because it eliminates the excess calories consumed every day (“Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”).
There is a reduction in heart diseases, including coronary artery diseases, since it improves blood circulation. This results in good oxygen flow throughout the body, ensuring that every part of the physique gets enough for an operation. One’s body can manage insulin and sugar levels through exercise. It cuts down the risk of type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome (D’Ascenzi et al. 732). Some harmful habits that involve smoking can be quit easily by engrossing in other activities that replace that time.
Exercise boosts thinking capacity and learning and sharpens critical skills. It stimulates the body to release chemicals that improve the function and structure of the brain. Severe sicknesses, including some cancers, are eliminated through physical movement. The risk of falling, particularly in adults, is reduced by moderate-intensity aerobic activities. Children who involve themselves in physical activities when they are young have strong bones, which slows bone density loss that is accompanied by age later in life (“Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”).
Active people fall asleep faster than those who are lazy, ending up sleeping longer. It improves sexual health in both males and females. It increases sexual arousal in women, while in men, it lowers the risk of erectile dysfunction, thus improving their sexual function. It increases the chances of living longer since the risk of dying early due to heart problems, and some cancers are minimized (D’Ascenzi et al. 730). The activity can be fun and used as an opportunity to interact with other people. It is a chance to unwind and adventure in other things that can make one happy.
There is no excuse for non-involvement in physical activities because there is a wide variety that one can choose to engage in. Some people justify their bad habits of unhealthy lifestyles with their busy schedules, which may include going to work, attending school, and family matters. A few changes can be of help if practiced every day (Rhodes et al. 105-106).
One can opt to use stairs instead of the elevator or walk from one office to another instead of sending an email or phone call. Family and friends’ involvement in the activity encourages one to work out since they have people who can assist or accompany them during the exercise. One can even join classes or groups that carry out these gymnastics regularly.
It is recommended for one to keep track of their record by setting goals to stay motivated (Rhodes et al. 107). Mixing different types of exercises helps one to stay energized and positive. The engagements should consist of activities that can be done even in bad weather. These may include climbing stairs or attending a gym with an instructor.
However, some factors limit regular exercises, including pain, muscle reduction in strength, and a reduced range of motion. Depression and anxiety are psychological issues that compromise the ability to exercise daily. The health experts recommend a moderated approach to carry out the activities. Too much work can hurt an individual in different ways, including tiredness, troubled sleeping patterns, irritability, inability to perform at the same level, and extreme weight loss (Martel et al. 339). They can also cause injuries, lack of motivation, colds, the urge to sleep longer, and a feeling of sore muscles. Some wounds obtained from gymnastics may cause serious problems involving fractured legs or hands, risk of falling due to insufficient muscle strength if they do not eat well, and death in some eventualities.
Individuals can avoid overexercising and listen to what they feel about their bodies before proceeding. Enough rest is highly encouraged, particularly 8 hours of sleep, to ensure that the activities benefit the person. Between the workouts, a break of at least 6 hours is recommended, and a full day every week should be considered. The intake of enough calories for the activity level helps the body to remain energetic and work out effectively (Martel et al. 340). One must drink sufficient water to avoid dehydration since one tends to sweat a lot.
A person should decrease the practice before a competition if any. During extreme cold or heat, physical activities should be avoided. Cutting back the keeping fit if someone does not feel well or is stressed is good as it ensures that they enjoy the full advantages of the application. An instructor is highly suggested to guide the process until one gets used to it (Martel et al. 340). Otherwise, severe injuries and damages likely to occur during the exercise can result in terminal conditions and, in some cases, untimely deaths.
Conclusion
Optimal health can be attained in different ways, although exercise is the ultimate method with no side effects. Physical activities can eliminate some illnesses, heart diseases, and other conditions. Long survival chances help parents care for their generation, ensuring good morals are passed on to their people. It reduces the rate of orphans due to parents who die early, leaving their kids to survive alone. It is a practice that anyone should carry out at any age since discrimination factors do not limit it.
Everyone can benefit regardless of their abilities, shape, ethnicity, time of life, and size. Each person is highly advised to carry out the activities since this would ensure a community of wellness and, thus, an improved economy. A country will likely enjoy economic advantages if the number of sick is reduced. It reduces the doctor’s work to treat problems that could be avoided through simple tasks and allows them to concentrate on other health issues.
