Thanks for tuning in to the announcement of the 2024 Video Contest Scholarship recipients! As always, it’s an exciting moment for all of us, so let’s get rolling.
To start, though, we wanted to quickly review this year’s numbers to see how the competition fared.
There were 81 submissions in total for this scholarship. For a number of reasons, we were unable to approve 17 works. Some had poor production quality, copyright issues, or technical problems, while others didn’t meet all the standards.
Of all the submissions we received, 64 made it to the first evaluation stage, and 52 made it to the second.
Our team managed to pick the top 7 videos with the best chance of winning out of all of these works:
- Gamify Your Way Out of Procrastination by Samantha Carl Selorio with 15 comments, 36 likes, and 294 views;
- Diversity Without Discrimination by Thulashini Chinnappan with 11 comments, 92 likes, and 1735 views;
- Procrastination where?? (Tips and tricks for how to stay productive this school year) by Minleena Neal with 56 comments, 104 likes, and 2005 views;
- Get it done – Productivity Tips by Rachel Ahern with 71 comments, 99 likes, and 789 views;
- A story behind teamwork by Laura Parra with 59 comments, 116 likes, and 484 views;
- How to Avoid Procrastination: 3 Effective Tips by Mark Rodeghero with 50 comments, 93 likes, and 525 views;
- Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork by Shayan Khan with 31 comments, 67 likes, and 240 views.
Let’s announce the winners! Our judges selected the two submissions that would receive the awards.
Rachel Ahern takes first place with her work Get it done – Productivity Tips and wins $1,000.
Mark Rodeghero places second with his video How to Avoid Procrastination: 3 Effective Tips and wins $500.
We really appreciate everyone’s participation in this year’s competition. If you were not lucky this time, don’t feel bad about yourself.
