Being related to one of the most humane professions in the world it is vital for me to prove the hopes of people concerned with effective and in-time help when it is needed anywhere, at home, at hospital, even in the street. In this respect I try to do my best for making healthcare more improved. It is so, because I believe that changes begin with an ordinary man providing ordinary actions intended for strategic implementation. Moreover, a man’s reasoning matters in this case. Nursing is my destination in life. Such profession is thought to be easy, but, in fact, it is not so. Looking at the helplessness of many people, young or old, I made up my mind that in this era of high technologies and use of additional means to support a man in activities the role of nurses cannot be pruned down.
Personal goals identify and predict the places which may be possessed by a man. Thereupon, my personal goals lead to having success in pursuing of gains in knowledge and experience. Leonardo Da Vinci once said: “Wisdom is a sister of experience”. Continuing this idea I am inclined to present my experience as of the profession. Thus, after earning my BSN I worked in ICU and attended school to obtain my MSN/FNP. I was thorough in studying and working as a nurse since 1998 when I became a Certified Nurse Practitioner. This opportunity gave an impetus to provide my knowledge base in practice. It is clear that patients want to be on a safe side while attending clinics or while making an appointment with a doctor.
In this respect it is not a problem for me to communicate with them in a rightly concerned key, so that to make them sure that medicine is helpful and that responsibility of everyone working in Medicare is grounded on the Asclepiades’ Oath. Interpersonal communication skills are of great significance for me throughout all my life. This is why I have an experience to communicate with people of all age categories due to working in family practice setting, pediatric neurology and being the clinical coordinator of a retail based nurse practitioner run clinic.
My personal conviction urges for making constructive changes in healthcare service of the United States. It is my motivation to play an integral role in this difficult process. Experience and innovations are considered to be core elements for medical science. For me doctorate degree is a matter of my life at the moment. This would supposedly make a better evaluation of my professional priorities.
Furthermore, this degree would help me in my professional growth. Such ideals are vital for the country due to its needs in competent, effective, and productive personnel in the sphere of healthcare services. In this case I feel personal responsibility having 14-year experience in nursing to fulfill the national program of making improvements in Medicare. For this purpose I see a personal capability to attain doctorate degree, which seemed desired for me since I first entered nursing.
To conclude, it is necessary to mention that issues of personal self-esteem and conscientiousness about healthcare should be the main prerogatives while nursing. Being an assistant to patients and trying to make all possible efforts in order to save somebody’s life is taken for granted in my case. Thus, a doctorate degree is the stimulus which can promote me with a more extent of theoretical and practical background in nursing.
