English Composition II represents a middle step between Composition I and students’ professional writing. In this course, students are to “develop rhetorical skills for informed inquiry” (”English Composition I and II”). That is why English Composition II involves several aspects, such as writing, critical reading, revising, speaking and listening, and reflecting, during the examination of which learners are expected to acquire specific skills and knowledge. For instance, students learn to read critically, evaluate, interpret different information, and harness primary and secondary sources.
