SanDisk Company announced for sale a new USB flash model named Cruzer Micro with a total capacity of 4 GB. According to the developers, now the device with the length of 50,8 mm, thickness of 12,7 mm and with a weight of 14 g. is capable of containing up to 800 digital photographs, up to 1000 audio tracks or up to 2.5 hours of video. Furthermore, engineers supplied their creation with sufficiently wide collection of the functional possibilities, among which it is possible to outline:
- Special sliding mechanism for the USB- connector, which removes the need for shielding cap, and also preventing contacts from dirt and damages;
- the light-emitting diode indicator of state;
- Compatibility with U3 Of smart technology and the possibility to launch compatible U3smart programs directly from the drive.
- Several functional programs from which should be mentioned: the realization of VoIP calls using the Skype service, data synchronization with the computer (CruzerSync), and control of the passwords (Protecteer signup Shield passwords). The device is PC/Mac compatible and enhanced for the Windows Ready Boost technology. The device’s starting price is 40.49 $.
