Loving and serving exclusively for people, to subordinates, is an actual component of spiritual leadership (Williams 1). Leaders must meet the needs of those they lead rather than seeking to please everyone. Paul’s teachings help superiors maintain transparency, honesty, and integrity and be committed to their values and accountability to those who rely on them.

Finally, Paul tells Timothy the significance of labor and effort to serve God. He says: “It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops” (The ESV Bible, 2 Timothy 2:6). Such an aspect relates to the course’s principle – leaders must work hard and be patient to see the fruits of their labor. Individuals who are diligent and have at least a little talent will succeed. A non- workaholic’s disadvantages will grow over the years while advantages will diminish. Gifted but idle managers cannot transfer their knowledge from one situation to another because they have never comprehended their success’s underlying principles.

The Apostle Paul instructs leaders to continually learn, grow, and improve spiritually, personally, and professionally. He teaches never to give up but to follow through on goals, to help and guide colleagues, and not to let them down. “2 Timothy 2:1-7” is a source of inspiration and wisdom for leaders of all times. It reminds one of the need for constant development, self-improvement, and personal commitment and responsibility.
