FROM: Secretary-General.
TO: Members of staff.
DATE: 14th Oct 2010.
SUBJECT: New policies on how to use the office refrigerator.
Following the complaints raised by a few members of staff on using the office refrigerator, the secretary-general has found it necessary to shortlist policies that will guide staff members on how to manage the refrigerator.
As per the complaints, some members of staff have not been making use of the refrigerator in a decent manner and accordance with our office etiquettes. Spoiled food, spilled milk and soft drinks, and large containers of ice creams have put the refrigerator in a messy state. This has denied other staff members a chance to share the refrigerators. It is also contrary to the fact that the office facility is meant to be used by all the staff members.
To avoid such unethical and unhealthy occurrences in the future, all staff are called upon to kindly adhere to the following new policies:
- All members are privileged to share the refrigerator.
- There will be no more storage of bulky containers inside the refrigerator. This is to provide enough room for all members to enjoy the use of the office facility.
- As we all know, proper hygiene is as important as our health. For this reason, a responsibility has been assigned to every member using the refrigerator to ensure that it remains clean.
- Cleaning will be done on a routine basis, but only by those using the facility. The staff is expected to meet and organize a schedule on how to go about this duty, to avoid blame games in the future.
- Any member who will be uncomfortable with our new rulings is free to forward his or her suggestions to the secretary general’s desk.
With these new policies, our current problem is likely to be resolved. This will, however, require the selflessness and co-operation of every member. For further queries on this matter, kindly please visit the secretary general’s office. You will be assisted accordingly. Thank you all.
Best regards
Secretary-General.
