Observing Harmony in Our Life During Covid-19 Pandemic

During the pandemic, there have been many reasons to reflect upon the essence of the never-ending sequence of challenges that form the sequence of our lives. I had time to search for answers to many related questions. What is the sense of Covid-19 for humanity? What can this challenge bring us except troubles, grief, and sorrow? Do we deserve such a state of affairs? To figure out an explanation for these issues, I pushed the crucial idea that humans, our minds and souls, as well as actions, should be considered universe-forming factors. Here, I mean that human interactions with nature and each other serve as a foundation for the divine progression of the world’s history. History means the sequence of events. Events mean particular fluctuations of the being. And the being means dynamic manifestations of entities of things that, in turn, under the impact of time, form the harmonious and continuous sequence of events, or history.

This loop, with the stressed harmony and continuity, allowed me to understand that all the challenges accepted by humanity are not in vain, including the pandemic. History, as a result of human activities, is a dimension that we erect – with the help of memory and its carriers – as an answer to the phenomenon of death. Given this approach, we get an idea of continuity of life – that we can prolong it by extrapolating our experience to the actions of descendants. However, in this regard, it is important to get appropriate lessons from each challenge we face to give a significant example. For example, my family and I had more time to spend together and dedicate ourselves to various educational activities during Covid-19. We have found a plethora of new common interests in literature, music, and cinema. Now, we better understand each other, there is more harmony in our life, and we realize that the time spent together is extremely precious – the lesson that was learned due to the pandemic. As Machiavelli said, “The more sand has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it.”
