Mythical and majestic phoenix dies under its own power and emerges from its own collapse, which makes its immortality cyclical. Phoenix’s main quest is to ease the pain and suffering of her beloved one. It is important to note the fact that her name has nothing in common with the city of the state of Arizona. However, it reflects a deeper relationship with a mythical bird phoenix, which is an epitome of rebirth and immortality. The given mythological creature is an ideal embodiment of the main character due to their major similarities. Phoenix Jackson may not as bright and captivating as a phoenix, but the connection exists on a much deeper level. Her storyline is full of ups and downs, which is the manifestation of phoenix’s burning out and rebirth. Therefore, her quest is cyclical in nature because the obstacles can be considered as permanent.

The heroine’s name perfectly reflects the overall similarity between her and phoenix. Both have a constant flow of struggles, which wear down and burn out their vitality, and both overcome them by being remade and reborn with more strength and grit. This is a quest, but it is highly different from traditional ones, where a knight has to complete a task and enjoy his life after he reaches the goal. The given linearity of the quest is appropriate for entertainment and stories, but in real life, the cyclical nature of the struggles is more prevalent.

It is critical to understand the fact that the heroine faces a number of challenges, such as racism, sexism, discrimination based on age, and social status. All these obstacles are persistent for the entirety of her storyline due to the fact that these problems are even relevant today. Thus, it is safe to state that she cannot solve or completely avoid these issues, which makes her struggles cyclical and unending. She is forced to overcome the obstacles continuously and repeatedly in order to survive and achieve her goal. The way she stays persistent through the given challenges is manifested in her strength and resilience.

Although I am fortunate not to have the severity of the struggles faced by the heroine, this is highly relatable to me. The main reason is that I also feel the pressure of classism, which makes my life uneasy and restrained. It is clear that the problem of class conflict most likely will not be solved in the near future. The issue takes various shapes and sizes, starting from the subtle tension in society to brutal revolutions. I was not born into a great amount of wealth, which means that I, as many, have to face many struggles on path to my freedom and success. I fully understand that one’s hard work and dedication can lead to tremendous changes, but the starting ground is not equal for everyone. Being born to an upper-class family means that a person gets a better healthcare, education, and more resources to achieve his or her goals. However, even they face a new set of problems, which makes everyone’s life a constant battle and problem solving without a particular finish line, except death.

In conclusion, the main character’s quest is cyclical due to her problems being highly fundamental and almost unsolvable. She is forced to deal with racism, classism, discrimination, and sexism in a continuous manner. The given storyline resembles the mythical bird phoenix, which must also go through the constant circle of death and rebirth. The heroine overcomes all these challenges by staying strong and resilient.
