The concept of the American Dream has always been topical for people in the USA. Today, it remains applicable to coherent society as individuals still have the desire to succeed and acquire multiple benefits. American Dream is the belief that everyone in the state, regardless of the social position, class, or current conditions, can attain success (how they see it) due to the unique peculiarities of the U.S society and environment. However, very often, the given concept is narrowed to the idea of monetary success and finding significant sums of money. For instance, among Black people living in low-income communities, the problem of poverty is extremely topical. For this reason, the desire to achieve this level of success can precondition the increase in the level of crime as for numerous individuals, it remains the only opportunity to find money in the short term. The resolution of this problem demands a radical change in the social policy and living conditions in these communities.
Nowadays, the problem of social disorganization preserves its importance. It can be described as the inability of all individuals belonging to a particular community to cooperate and solve central issues together. In other words, trying to overcome severe hardships, people prefer to act alone, disregarding the needs of other persons and thinking only about their own current needs. For impoverished communities, social disorganization becomes especially relevant as the inability to satisfy basic needs results in the growth of aggression and violence. However, the key to a successful transformation is cooperation between all members to achieve shared values. It is vital to create specific organizations consisting of people living in such areas and drive positive change by helping people with the worst living conditions and working jointly to solve nagging problems.
