The documentary titled “The Game Changers” had an ambitious objective of having a strong impact on society, as implied by its name. The film has assembled a team of prominent personalities in the spheres of sports and cinematography. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Lewis Hamilton, and Novak Djokovic were among the famous people behind the documentary with James Cameron leading the production (Psihoyos, 2018). Such an ensemble contributed to the value of the film and inevitably added weight to the discussion. In fact, the immense production value may have been one of the leading reasons for this documentary’s success.
The documentary attempts to redefine the field of nutrition on all levels, along with consumers’ understanding of what they should eat. The film takes an argument-supported stance against meat-based products. What is important is that the film does not push or force its viewers to abandon animal products and become vegan. The creators simply outline the primary advantages on an alternative lifestyle with reference to research. However, it is possible that the data was presented in one-sided manner to support the film’s stance. Ultimately, the documentary does not impose a lifestyle; it just prompts the viewers to reconsider critically their eating habits and think of their health.
