Introduction
Applying for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) goes a long way toward advancing academic qualifications. At the same time, it is crucial to participate in various organizational processes that may go beyond the educational program to actively participate in the life of the Irish community. Cultural and academic exchange is an imperative aspect to be gained while studying in Ireland. In this regard, finding ways to go beyond research to actively participate in society and raise awareness of the GOI-IES system in Ireland and beyond is important.
Ways of Active Participation in Society
Volunteering
One of the productive and correct ways to participate in the life of the country’s society is to devote free time and apply different skills to volunteer work. In this way, it will be possible to recognize many information factors about a foreign culture that will help adapt and better understand the Irish people in the future (O’Dowd, 2021). Volunteer opportunities can be found at local charities that post various jobs for the jobs they need. Working outside academia can allow me to get to know the local population better and make the necessary contacts while positively impacting society.
Participating in Cultural Life
In addition to volunteer work, participating in various cultural events and festivals can be a big positive factor in Ireland. Such cultural interaction will help to better understand the Irish and communicate better. In this way, different aspects of traditions can be exchanged in more detail because I will also be able to acquaint people with different aspects of culture in India. At the same time, the points of contact can be the study of such cultural manifestations as national dances, songs, and folklore. Since there is also a great heritage of traditional elements in India, it will be an interesting experience to discuss and compare them with the cultural characteristics of Ireland.
Raising Awareness of the GOI-IES Program
Besides being directly involved in local activities by learning about local customs, I will also be able to spread knowledge about the GOI-IES program through social media. By discussing the different options for studying and what path it takes to overcome, it will be possible to show students from different countries how to become scholarship holders of the program. In doing so, it will be important to use my personal experience as this will ensure greater engagement and potentially increase the desire of many people to join the program. Since the GOI-IES program is an excellent opportunity for a first-class education, many applicants may be interested and try to take advantage of the information provided.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the GOI-IES program is a unique chance for students to get an education in Ireland. Therefore, it is necessary to spread awareness about this opportunity so that students from different countries can use it. In this way, it will be possible to significantly increase the potential of cultural exchange by getting to know different people and learning from their experiences.
