Moreover, the lack of sleep also makes individuals feel sluggish and tired throughout the day, and it impacts appearance since people with sleep problems have puffy eyes and sallow skin. Finally, growth and development can affect children and teens if they regularly miss out on adequate sleep.

In order to combat sleep deprivation, it is recommended to focus on sleep hygiene. This approach includes having a regular relaxing bedtime routine, limiting screen time before going to bed, avoiding caffeine in the evenings, and ensuring rooms are cool and dark. Exercise during the day and avoiding daytime naps longer than 20 minutes also improve nighttime sleep. If problems persist, consulting a doctor about potential sleep disorders and tailored treatment is advisable. The reason is that getting enough quality sleep is a vital component of health.
