Issues in Job Posting
Notably, America is a country in which the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has prohibited any form of job discrimination. Therefore, it is inappropriate to post a job announcement that promotes practices aimed at discriminating people based on their age, sex, cultural or religious background, health status, sexual preferences, or any other aspect (Longnecker, 2011). The job description has several inappropriate requirements. To be more precise, it states that the position is not suitable for pregnant women or single parents. Also, it generally excludes females from the competition because some of partnering countries wish to cooperate with male workers solely due to specific religious issues, which is another discriminatory factor. One of the points indicated that people with limited mobility are unlikely to be considered for this position due to constant flying. Moreover, the announcement clearly states that the company is seeking a male leader while the gender of the spouse should be mentioned for insurance reasons. Thus, it can be assumed that the posting has revealed particular discriminatory practices employed by the company, which are discrimination by gender, sex, and physical abilities.
