Introduction
I have always been a great fan of the commonwealth games. I have always watched them on television, and this year I plan to attend them. This year, the commonwealth games hit the 22nd time since they were launched and were being held in Birmingham, England, starting from July 28 until August 8. The games are held every four years, including athletes from the Commonwealth countries and territories. Below are the steps that I used to make the decision.
Step 1: Need recognition
I have had the desire to attend live games organized by Commonwealth countries. Watching the activities on television is not offering me the best satisfaction I need. There is frequent distraction lowering my concentration, thus leading to poor performance.
Step 2: Awareness
Two months earlier, I had examined the plans for the games. I informed my relatives about my choice of attending the upcoming Commonwealth events. I believe by attending the functions, I will be fully satisfied, and the urge will reduce to allow me to concentrate effectively on personal duties. The cost needed to support my stay throughout the period will be significant.
Step 3: Purchase Decision
I opted to attend the games because the event organizers have offered a 30% discount on the entrance fee for people willing to watch over 5 games consecutively. I believe the offer will enable me to reduce the cost incurred, which is essential.
Step 4: Sport Experience
Following the array of games to be played, the event was fun and enjoyable. I had the pleasure of watching the live marathon, javelin, and other unique and interesting games. I was satisfied, and the exposure increased my knowledge about different activities (Liang et al., 2020). In addition, varieties of foodstuffs were sold, and the entertainment was captivating.
Step 5: Evaluation of Experience
During the games, I felt excited and my mood was good. Furthermore, I had an opportunity to take a photo with some renowned athletes.
Step 6: Dissatisfaction or Dropout
Based on the experience I had from the event, I am satisfied with the decision I made to attend the games, and I am looking forward to attending in the coming year.
Conclusion
A step-by-step decision process is a vital approach that enables an individual to examine the problem that needs to be addressed. The stages allow for proper analysis, which is necessary for effective decision-making. Upon completing the process, it is easier to determine the level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction realized following the respective choice made. Therefore, it is an essential technique that should be used to facilitate proper and reliable decision-making.
