American Organization for Nursing Leadership

Evidence-based practice implies the idea that treatment should be based on specific scientific evidence, and this approach is gaining popularity in the field of medicine today. American Organization for Nursing Leadership is among the setting, which attempts to implement this method (Evidence-based practices, n. d.). It involves “the national professional organization of more than 10,000 nurse leaders” and appears to be “the voice of nursing leadership” (American Organization for Nursing Leadership, n. d., para. 1).

Its mission is “to shape health care through innovative and expert nursing leadership” (American Organization for Nursing Leadership, n. d., para. 2). The major direction of the development of the company implies education, advocacy, and community (American Organization for Nursing Leadership, n. d.). In addition, the organization currently implemented evidence-based interventions in clinical practice in order to improve treatment outcomes.

However, it should be mentioned that it does not present one of the major goals for the company. The reason for it could be that it predominantly focuses on leadership skills among nurses rather than supplying the most effective treatment solutions (American Organization for Nursing Leadership, n. d.). The company provides health care workers with different profiles with online courses and attempts to have a positive impact on transformations in the field of medicine. Furthermore, it presents an essential incentive for developing nursing leadership by uniting people in one community.

After reviewing the information about American Organization for Nursing Leadership, my opinion about this company has changed to some extent. For instance, I have not known that it adheres to such a variety of activities in order to promote nursing leadership. Moreover, it is respectable that the organization intends to provide not only nurses, but executives, managers, directors, and others with essential knowledge of leadership.
