People have to admit that video games are no longer reserved for children or hardcore gamers. Nowadays, it is difficult to find a person who did not hear about Valve or at least its famous Steam gaming platform. More so, you might have heard about the newest handheld console device called Steam Deck. I would like you to consider throwing away your Switch since the future of handheld consoles is here.
First and foremost, the mobile console industry has seen better days, with barely any new releases being as tremendous as in the early days of video games. While everyone has heard about Mario and Pokemon that are now available on Nintendo Switch, many popular games remain inaccessible to its users. However, Valve’s efforts brought its long-time Steam users and potential customers the ability to access the vast majority of modern jewels from the gaming industry through a convenient device.
Maybe some people enjoy idly swiping through their phones as a way to waste their spare time. However, there is no reason to do so if I can spend my time being entertained. Technically being a computer downsized to fit in a palm, Steam Deck is more powerful than an average smartphone by a significant amount while being within an affordable price range (Plante, 2022). Through this device, everyone can access thousands of games, ranging from niche to AAA titles, at any time.
In conclusion, this device is everything people need to entertain themselves virtually anywhere. The best part is the fact that Steam Deck is already available for purchase through Valve’s official channels. Moreover, there is no need to spend more money buying games that people already own on their PCs, as the device supports many games from the Steam library directly from the box. Reserving one for yourself now is a great idea, as the waiting line only grows longer every day.
