All the popular Arab countries in the modern world were known as the Islamic Empire back in the Middle Ages. It is necessary to state that the culture and inhabitants of the Empire’s territories made a tremendous impact on the development of the entire world that started off in medieval Europe (König, 2015). All civilization that was built since the thirteenth century in European countries (excluding Scandinavian) is based on the skills and experiences of people from Arab states.
In education, many ideas and inventions were rediscovered or merely copied by people from Western countries from what was common among Muslims. Some scientists from such states as Germany, France, England, Italy, and Spain borrowed their colleagues’ ideas and formulae in mathematics, medicine, science, and astronomy. Perhaps, Leonardo da Vinci was also inspired by Arab inventors.
As to the aspect of cultural heritage, a wide range of musical instruments were recreated in medieval Europe according to the templates made by musicians from Arab countries (König, 2015). For instance, a guitar was originally made in one of the African states. Later, it was improved by professionals from Spain who made their culture of dancing and playing musical instruments popular all over the planet. Moreover, some elements of fashion were also brought to Europe by Arabic traders.
It is a well-known fact that some building techniques used by Egyptians have remained unrevealed till the present moment. Less complicated methods were adopted by countries with gothic architecture in the medieval. In fact, it is necessary to state that there were many military conflicts among European forces and the Empire’s army, where the latter always had the advantage over its enemies.
