The beautiful, but swaggering Prince Adam was punished for arrogance and exorbitant pride. The sorceress cast a spell on Adam and his entire castle. The handsome Prince turned into a terrible furry monster, and his faithful servants became household items: utensils, candlesticks, watches, and other trinkets. This sorceress left Adam a chance to fix everything – she gave him a flower, from which the petals gradually fall. The Prince must change himself and find love until the last flower petal falls.
Once, Maurice, a resident of a nearby village, accidentally wanders into the castle. He imprudently cuts the rose in the monster’s garden, for which the furious owner of the castle throws Maurice into prison. Maurice’s young daughter, Belle, decides to rescue her father. She bravely offers herself in return for Maurice, and the monster agrees. The servants of Adam understand that Belle is their last chance to break the spell. They begin to aggressively push her towards the enchanted prince. The movie seems to be about the power of love – that it does not matter how good-looking a person is, but it is important what personality he or she possesses. It is shown that love may help to overcome any obstacles and is the only key to happiness.
