Hamlet can be considered a literary character whose procrastination leads to gruesome consequences. The main hero’s level of procrastination can be considered extremely high, as he is exceptionally likely to delay completing urgent tasks and frequently misses necessary deadlines. Hamlet’s inability to fulfill the responsibility of killing Claudius is an excellent example of his procrastination, possibly grounded in his way of thinking and his father’s death. As such, Hamlet’s procrastination can even be considered his fatal flaw. In this quiz, the protagonist could have demonstrated his aversion towards meeting deadlines, ignoring his duties, and attempting to delay the required activities for as long as possible.
In contrast with Hamlet, my level of procrastination is significantly lower, as I gained an overall result of 47 after completing the quiz. These results suggest that I am moderately prone to procrastination but can still complete most of the tasks assigned to me in the given period of time. However, somewhat similar to Hamlet, I am very likely to postpone my responsibilities under the weight of pressure, meaning that this habit might become a severe problem if left unmanaged. Indeed, in some areas of my life, I am unable to focus on fulfilling my duties, and, just like Hamlet, I tend to disregard the necessary deadlines even if the consequences of such behavior can be severe. Overall, even though my procrastination degree is moderate and is not as dangerous for my everyday life as Hamlet’s, I should be cautious and try to improve my task completion abilities to avoid the emergence of negative consequences. I hope that I will be able to overcome the issues that force me to disregard the deadlines, allowing me to decrease my level of procrastination.
