There are several problems at Dennigee’s Store, such as when (part-time) team members fail to complete their assignments after receiving poor performance evaluations and when inventory levels are low and promotional products are involved. It is crucial to establish and clarify team member different duties by focusing clearly and succinctly on the inventory situation of every product, especially those in high demand, as a team member or manager interact and handle various responsibilities. Workers may contribute to ensuring proper inventory levels by regularly reviewing counts and monitoring trends (Fan et al., 2019). Communication and feedback are critical since giving each other comments after hearing what they say can help get a successful result. Eddie must ensure that feedback is given to part-time staff so they can feel involved.

Action Plan to Overcome the Gaps in Competencies

Since the cleaning requirements are so low, it is essential to outline safety precautions workers must observe. The way people see the company depends heavily on cleanliness. The company cannot remain in business if the store is not kept clean. The tasks and responsibilities assigned to employees must be thoroughly understood, as what is anticipated of them to accomplish. If a company fails to show how much it appreciates its staff, it will feel obligated to provide anything. Employees who do not feel valued and respected find it challenging to properly maintain a safe and sanitary building (Sharma et al., 2020). In addition to rapport-building, communication is quite essential in ensuring task accomplishment.

Management Position

Recognizing a team member’s work ethic and consistently expressing respect and gratitude, frequently for simple things, contributes to their feeling of dignity personally and inside the company they work for. The relationship between the worker and the employer is strengthened when the team member’s contributions are acknowledged, and their skills are valued (Newman & Ford, 2021). This relationship is essential to create a safe and welcoming workplace where employees and employers feel protected. Employer and team member both gain from a recognition program’s execution. Management can identify team players who may do even better in the workplace with the support of reward and recognition programs.
