Introduction
ISO are universal standards that help organizations define quality and improve their products by specific standards. These rules provide the basis for regulating the quality and durability of certain services and goods in their business area. Thus, it becomes easier for the consumer to understand what characteristics are inherent in the products. To better understand the scope of ISO standards, it should be studied the environment in which they are used.
Review of ISO Standards
ISO 9001
The first standard under consideration is ISO 9001, which defines the norms for quality regulation in companies. This standard is designed to help organizations identify that they accurately meet the needs of their customers (Agus et al., 2020). ISO 9001 is used because customers need to know precisely what they can expect from the product or service they purchase. This standard is used by various organizations in the service, manufacturing, and health sectors (da Fonseca et al., 2019). At the same time, this standard is essential for companies to understand how their products meet customers’ expectations.
ISO 14001
The ISO 14001 standard is an environmental management rule. It helps organizations manage their obligations and the rules they must abide by regarding the environment (Camilleri, 2022). The standard also helps organizations identify ground rules for tracking and reducing emissions (Sartor et al., 2019). Companies in various sectors, such as construction, manufacturing, and healthcare, use ISO 14001.
ISO 45001
The third standard is ISO 45001, and it contains the basic rules and regulations on labor protection. The standard regulates the relationship between subordinates and management and compliance with safety rules in production and risk management (Malinda & Soediantono, 2022). These rules help organizations provide their employees with better protection and avoid injury (Fahmi et al., 2021). ISO 45001 is used by a wide range of companies, including public health, construction, and manufacturing. The significance of these three standards for my profession is important because they help ensure an appropriate level of service quality.
Conclusion
In conclusion, quality standards and work norms help enterprises decide which direction to take to satisfy customers. Thus, a business in any industry can more easily operate with available resources if it understands managing risks. Enterprise employees also have certain benefits, as the standards help to respect their rights and prevent abuse of their position.
