Legislative Initiative Plan
The plan under consideration aims at identifying the necessary actions that have to be taken to make sure the offered Mario Diaz-Balart’s policy is effective within the frames of the chosen legislative session. In Section One, a communication with a congressman Mario Diaz-Balart has been analyzed. The attention to the information got during the conversation with the congressman’s representatives and his ideas on how to improve the health care system of the United States of America and provide the minorities with some kind of health care freedoms should help to develop a powerful plan with clearly defined periods.
Fy16 House Republican Budget as an Opposition to The Affordable Care Act And Legislative Session
The combination of the session-specific activities mentioned above has to be controlled by one person and implemented by several specially prepared people. Team-work is key to the success of the implementation of the chosen legislative initiative plan. Each member of the team should properly comprehend his/her duties and responsibilities and consider the timing frames. In case one person fails to meet the deadlines, it is necessary to call for support of another person and change the schedule accordingly in order not to lose the main idea of the work and meet the goal set at the beginning.
Role/Implications
Nurses, being good health care providers and ordinary citizens at the same time, have to be interested in addressing the issue of the policy concerning the FY16 House Republican Budget because of several reasons. On the one hand, the chosen policy is characterized by several negative aspects that influence the sphere of nursing directly: nursing jobs are reduced and the economic growth slows down considerably (Report: GOB, 2013). This is why nurses, as health care providers, need to think about the possible effects of the policy and do everything possible not to lose their working places and consider the quality of the services they have to offer to people with different social status. On the other hand, the budget reform under consideration seems to be a good idea of how people can save their money and get their medical insurances regarding their incomes. Therefore nurses, as ordinary citizens, may enjoy the possible results of the reform and get access to several cheap and credible medical services.
It has been already proved that many state and federal figures made numerous attempts to reduce or slow down the rates of Medicaid costs (Hayes & Thorpe, 2012). The Obama team tries to consider different aspects of the health care system, still, their main purpose is to improve the general state of affairs and promote the economic growth of the whole country even at the expense of separate people. That is why such people like the congressman Mario Diaz-Balart find it necessary to take care of each consumer of the American medical services and provide people with the required portion of free choice and credible medical services.
Nurses play an important role in this reform as they can be both, the observers of the system from the inside (as the health care workers) and the users of the services that have to be paid (as the American citizens). Their legislative initiative is a good chance to understand how one aspect of the problem may cause a new problem and a new decision at the same time. People are at a loss when they try to combine their health care needs and financial problems. And nurses, as no one else know how it is difficult for the government to combine a variety of needs of society. This is why it is necessary to involve nurses in the chosen policy and regard their experience to its full extend.
In general, a nursing role, as well as the implications, cannot be neglected. Nurses perform the function of the required connection between the caregivers and caretakers. If the plan under analysis implies the necessity to learn better the conditions under which medical services are offered, nurses have to be invited to be a part of a plan as they can give the necessary explanations and evaluations for the ordinary people, political figures, and supporters of the budget reform activities. People should be free to decide where and under which conditions they can receive their medical care. People should have the same possibilities to benefit from the services offered by different medical organizations. And the government should think about the most adequate measures which do not reduce the economic growth of the country and do not minimize the opportunities of the American citizens.
