Mediterranean

Diet one is the Mediterranean diet, which is based on consuming fruits and vegetables. Its pros are diversity, richness, and healthiness, while its cons are preparation and a lack of a thorough nutrition plan. The diet is not expensive as it offers a range of low-cost products (Hinzey & Shanley). 

According to the Mediterranean diet, the guarantee of weight loss is high, 4.2 out of 5. It is easy to follow and requires no extraordinary product consumption (Hinzey & Shanley). Due to its healthiness and accessibility, this diet is ranked first among all other diets.

Raw Food

Another diet that takes last place is the raw food diet. It is based on eating uncooked, organic plant foods, which makes it expensive. The pros are low carbs/calories and high levels of fiber, while the cons are a lack of thorough guidance, little research, and poor nutritional qualities (Esposito & Urban). People barely lose weight keeping this diet, which is also caused by the complicated way of following it (Esposito & Urban). Considering all the mentioned aspects, the last place given to the Raw food diet is justified.

Personal Choice

My choice falls into the diet, which is ranked ninth and is called Dr. Weil’s anti-inflammatory diet. It is based on fruits and vegetables, including green tea and dark chocolate, and focuses on disease prevention. Its pros are soundness, a high level of fiber, health benefits, and diversity (Esposito). The cons are the way of meal preparation and the many rules to keep (Esposito).

The diet requires only fresh common ingredients, which makes it cheap (Esposito). It receives 3.2 out of 5 points in weight loss and 3.5 in ease of follow (Esposito). Such a second-rate score justifies the diet’s ninth place on the list.

Reflection

The information about the three different diets provided above is considerably useful. It highlights the features of the best, the worst, and the middle diets. Such a diet choice description helps people to choose their preferred nutritional plans. Different individuals prioritize different aspects, so this information helps them to reach flexibility in their weight and nutrition management goals. Considering the variety of approaches to selected diets, it is easy for people to match their needs to the nutritional rules.
