Michael Jackson was one of the brightest pop stars of all time. His talent was admired, millions of fans idolized him, and colleagues recognized his brilliant performing and dancing abilities. The list of epithets that journalists gave him for a long and unsurpassed creative life is unlikely to fit on one page. His whole life is shrouded in incredible legends, adventures, and scandals were his faithful companions. He knew about how heavy the burden of fame is from childhood when at the age of five, he began performing in the family group The Jackson 5, which his father organized. Michael Jackson was born in 1958 in Gary, Indiana, and was the seventh of nine children (Vincent, 2022). From an early age, Jackson learned the wisdom of the profession, watching the best performers. He used to stand behind the scenes of Fred Astaire and James Brown, adopted all their movements, demeanor, presentation of himself to the public, intonations.
Jackson did not tolerate when his work was classified by genre, race, or nationality. The singer said that great music had no color and no boundaries. The music producer Quincy Jones called Jackson a sponge, which has absorbed all the best from the great people of musical art for ten years (Vincent, 2022). It was not in vain that he learned from the very best in order to become that person whose equals will no longer be.
The great musician’s death became as full of legends as his life used to be. For 2009, Michael Jackson planned a series of 50 “This Is It Tour” concerts, with which he wanted to end his career. However, on the morning of June 25, 2009, the world heard the tragic news (Vincent, 2022). The news of the death of the pop music king spread around the globe with lightning speed – fans refused to believe in such a sudden death. No matter what versions now surround this tragic event, Michael Jackson will always remain in the hearts of people as the greatest musician of his time.
