Interviewee’s Target Audience

Nancy Jackson, the person that was interviewed, is a nurse educator (NE) and a nurse practitioner (NP). Therefore, the interview results indicate that there is a need to utilize modern information technology, particularly, the tools such as social networks, to encourage community members to acquire and share crucial information about self-care and health issues. As a result, a steep increase in overall levels of awareness among patients and community members and, therefore, the degree of preparedness to possible health-related threats, is expected. Moreover, the assignment results prove that nurses must develop patient-specific approaches by learning more about the specifics of target demographics’ culture. The resulting understanding of internal and external factors affecting patients’ health will become a possibility. In addition, a better understanding of patients’ culture and values will allow building a coherent dialogue between a nurse and the community (Holland, 2017).

Conclusion: Personal Thoughts and Impressions

Overall, the interview has shed some light on the challenges that an NE and an NR faces in the realm of a healthcare facility. The necessity to convince patients to participate in a conversation with an NE is justified by the need to encourage patient education and promote self-care. However, it is complicated massively by the obstacles caused by cultural differences, language barriers, lack of community support, and the lack of experience in using tools for enhancing communication. Therefore, the interview can teach one to mobilize all available resources to improve the quality of care and focus on disease prevention by nurturing patients’ curiosity and independence. An NE must be able to sustain patients’ willingness to develop independence and communicate with nurses. Thus, health issues will be spotted at the earliest stages of their development and handled successfully.
