Abstract
The level of education has been forming a critical determination of the likelihood of a person’s professional qualification. In today’s competitive world, the level of education is becoming a sieve in determining who will hold a certain public office. Higher expectations from the public on the quality of the services provided are a concern for the service providers. The world is evolving, and the government is encouraging everyone to take any opportunity available to add knowledge of their career. Secondly, as the population of people with the same qualification increases, there are limited chances of individuals available in the job market. The professional is therefore being forced to get back to class and add to their previous level of classification.
Introduction
The research was conducted to determine if the level of intake of the BSN class is beneficial to the students’ professional growth. The high rate of students enrolling in the class called for the best method of teaching that could ensure that every student graduates with the relevant quality required in the nursing profession. The EBP method of teaching is being utilized, and the study indicate the strategies used as the best for the students. This article is meant to criticize the article’s approach to the study used.
Analysis
The research that was conducted to determine the awareness and the adoption of the EBP fails to give the impact of the study to the student. The study ought to have drawn shown how well the students do on the profession ground. The call for nurses to increase their level of study from the RN to BSN has a specific objective of increasing the quality of services provided. It is true that experience is the best teacher. Nonetheless, the increase in the level of education offers a better platform for handling issues in a more professional way. The caregivers usually act as assistants to the professional doctors. The BSN will provide them with the best skills that are necessary for the practice of their profession. It is reported that the number of nurses who have enrolled in the BSN class has increased by 288%. We need to understand the reason for the increase in relation to the call for nurses to have the BSN qualification. At the end of the study, I expected the recommendations from doctors on the appropriateness of EBP to the nurses’ skills.
Every aspect of education calls a small group of students to teacher’s ratio. The fact that the teacher quality is necessary for the nursing profession calls for the criticism of the study. The high number of students meant that there was a call for the EBP to come up with specific learning strategies. There is always a challenge when a high role out enters into the class. The instructor can fail to deliver on the key issues of the activities that better qualifies the student. The research outlines the strategies that were used by the instructors and the response that the students gave. By considering the methodology that was used, there is no doubt the BSN classes were transformational. The research was not conducted in the same country, but on a number of nations. In spite of these strategies, there are no specific data that verifies the student’s improved performance.
We are informed that students worked in partnership in the learning process. It is true that the RN to BSN class brought a number of different experienced nurses. The strategy in this operation was meant to adopt the knowledge that nurses had previously. The highly experienced nurses were able to catch-up with the instructor in the BSN class than the inexperienced ones. I do appreciate this form of imparting knowledge to students given the high number of enrollees. The experienced students in this class had a role in breaking the gap between the lecturer and the less experienced nurses (Phillips & Cullen, 2015). The partnership would give the nurses to explain in details their experiences to the less experienced nurses the necessary actions as required in the class. The short comes in this form of study is that students cannot depend on their fellow students in the learning process. Some students may not have the capacity of giving a comprehensive explanation of the subject covered.
The research shows that application of the EBP practice in the study was effective in all the schools that were involved in the research. The data presented in this activity establishes that the nurses had an easy time in catching up with the new knowledge that would transform them in the future. On the other hand, the study does not give a comparison in terms of percentages showing the group that did well against the one that failed.
Conclusion
The research conducted to analyze the importance of EBP in the BSN class does not clearly reflect the truth on the ground. The data does not show the scientific procedures that were followed in collecting data for qualitative analysis. On the other hand, the researchers have presented the information in a simple way that would make it easier for interpretation. The application of meta-synthesis as a method of analysis could have been better if the study indicated both extremes of the study.
