Introduction
The classroom at a nearby high school was the site of the observation. The teen was a female senior in high school aged 18. The classroom had the standard fare of desks, seats, and a whiteboard seen in every high school. The classroom was warm and inviting, with plenty of natural light.
Physical Development
It was determined that the youngster is physically developing normally. She was a normal-sized kid for her age. Her walk was typical, and her coordination was adequate. She carried herself with confidence and looked healthy from the outside in.
Cognitive Development
The youngster is showing above-average cognitive development. She had no trouble grasping intricate principles and theories. She had the capacity for abstract thought and the initiative to find solutions to issues independently. She remembered things well and could do them quickly.
Language Development
The child’s linguistic progress was deemed to be superb. She had a very direct and articulate way of expressing her thoughts. She had an excellent command of the English language and had no trouble grasping even the most intricate subjects.
Moral Development
It was determined that the child’s moral growth was typical for their age. She can form her own moral opinions based on her values and principles. Moral development is key to child development (Von Soest et al., 2020). She had the maturity to recognize the results of her actions and accept responsibility for them.
Social/Emotional Development
The child appears to be doing quite well in terms of emotional and social growth. She was well-liked by her classmates because of her wit and humor. She could put herself in other people’s shoes and experience what they were experiencing. She was also capable of communicating her emotions positively and helpfully.
Conclusion
The observation of the 18-year-old student provided valuable insight into child development. The study’s findings illuminated human physical, mental, linguistic, ethical, social, and emotional growth. The significance of the child’s surroundings in molding their growth was also brought to light by the study’s observations.
The study further proved that a child’s early environment profoundly affects their maturation, influencing their personality, behavior, and cognitive ability. I also realized how much of an impact the child’s environment had on their growth and development. The discovery emphasized that a child’s surroundings may have beneficial and harmful effects on their growth and development.
