Contributions to Team Meetings and Discussions
During one of the recent online team meetings, I played the informal role of moderator. I was responsible for maintaining communication order and allowing all participants to express their opinions and ideas. I facilitated the discussion, calling on team members to participate actively and drawing attention to the most important topics. I also offered some ideas to discuss and tried to sound professional and convincing.
Encouraging Participation Among Team Members
I encouraged other team members to develop valuable, interesting proposals and ideas by asking questions. Thus, using chains of short questions, I urged them to take part in discussions actively and share their thoughts and concerns. It was also important to highlight their successes and acknowledge their achievements to help them feel confident and motivated.
Contributions to Team Tasks and Project Completion
My work on project planning helped the team achieve the desired results. I set goals and deadlines for the project to ensure its successful completion. I distributed tasks among team members and ensured they were completed on time. I also constantly monitored the project and provided feedback to support task accomplishment and achieve the desired results.
Collaboration and Relationship Building Within the Team
While working on a recent project, I was responsible for effective coordination and communication between team members. I tried to maintain a positive atmosphere and a respectful relationship among participants, discussing achievements and determining the next steps. It is important to encourage the exchange of ideas and acknowledge the efforts of each participant (Beck et al. 110-112). I focused on providing constructive criticism, accentuating the strengths of each team member and specific areas where we can develop further.
Conflict Resolution and Decision-Making in the Team
During the project development, a conflict arose between two senior team members regarding the choice of some tools. To resolve the conflict, I proposed a joint meeting where each participant could present their arguments and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each approach. During the discussion, I acted as a mediator, helping each participant to express their views and paying attention to all opinions. During this process, I realized the importance of communication and mutual understanding within the team and the ability to find compromises to achieve common goals.
