Organizations as entities are active participants of the communication process, which follows a specific set of patterns during the exchange of information and ideas. The research question is how organizational culture shapes the communication framework within an organization. The subject is significant because both for-profit, non-profit, governmental institutions strive to operate with maximum efficiency, and adjusted communication can be critical in promoting such improvements. A number of major weak points of the capitalistic system, such as corporate ethics and corporate social responsibility, are heavily impacted by the context of organizational culture.
It is the transformation of the communication space that is the substantive basis of the new theory of organizational change. However, the pluralism of modern sociological thought turns into uncertainty in its individual sections, the lack of integration of processes of dynamic changes in the communication space of society. There are also updates and modifications of organizational culture in modern enterprises. At the same time, an analysis of the laws governing the development of the communication space, which permeates all spheres of society and collects them into a single whole. For example, a strong organizational cultural component can lead to more effectiveness than weak cultural ones (Gochhayat, Giri, & Suar, 2017). Therefore, current trends reveal the connection of communication, spiritual, and social manifestations of organizational culture.
It is important to focus on the fact that in the process of manifestation of organizational culture, communications acquire the form of social ties and interdependencies. They appear in the form of social relations in the joint interaction of people. Communications provide effective actions and interactions in social groups, communities, corporations in the process of their process and activities (Driskill, 2019). It is necessary to note that in the context of this methodological approach, the cultural space of society, as well as of an individual organization, has communication and sociocultural components. For instance, knowledge sharing processes in an organization are promoted by organizational culture based on trust (Liang, Chang, Rothwell, & Shu, 2016). The communication component includes information systems formed as a result of the implementation of a set of communication acts. The latter are relatively completed operations of semantic interconnections and interactions carried out by constant participants in communications.
Aggregate communication acts, on the one hand, are a manifestation of one form or another of organizational culture. On the other hand, they reflect specific sociocultural processes and actions of labor actors. The social structure of culture determines the qualitative features of people performing their work activities, the practice of organizing communication ties within the framework of a changing system of social values, norms, principles, and roles (Driskill, 2019). These processes determine the sociocultural realization of the subjects of the communication process, such as communicators and recipients of information messages. This also includes the manifestation of communication media, such as codes used in symbolic forms and information flows, and message channels, such as information transmission media.
In conclusion, organizational culture theory heavily impacts an organization’s effectiveness, knowledge sharing, values, practices, and principles. Communication in the context of the organization culture is mutually influential, which means that both determine the future prospects of each other. The theory can accurately describe and explain the settings that are not only in commercial or governmental context but a religious one. Churches are outstanding examples of strong organizational culture, where all members are united behind one idea or principles. The communication problems are rare occurrences, and they are resolved quickly due to the given theoretical frameworks.
