The areas most affected by condo collapse in Florida are the Miami suburb. The recent surfside of the Champlain Towers South, located at 8777 Collins Avenue, supports the importance of preventing another deadly failure (Lu et al., 2021). The condominium complex tragedy calls for an adequate assessment of the overall conditions of buildings within Surfside Town and its neighborhood. This is to inspect and ensure all the structures in the city are safe for occupants and do not risk lives.
The proposed data collection activities include an interview with the acting mayor of Surfside, individuals who own condos across Miami, the complex management association, and city officials in the building ministry. In addition, data and explanations will be obtained from engineers who have experience in the forensic investigation of building component failures. A questionnaire will be administered to businesses and investors within the area to determine how safe they feel regarding Condon’s collapse across the town. Researchers linked to the study of the catastrophic incident will be highly engaged to provide data on the possible degradations of building across the city.
This paper will conduct a significant interview with the owners of the Champlain Tower together with the tenants who operated within the complex and the data recorded for analysis. This study will develop a quantitative research method through surveys and questionnaires as the primary data collection and analysis (Adriman et al., 2022). This study research method is straightforward and consumes less time with faster analysis for valid statistical significance. Collected data will be analyzed using statistical software such as SPSS to create reports and presentations used as references.
