The above table of travel expenses for the Retail Hong Kong Expo in Hong Kong represents an approximate travel budget. The purpose of the trip is to visit exhibition managers from some of the leading providers of retail technology products and services. Expenses will include flights with transfers; the flight to Hong Kong will take place on the Friday preceding the exhibition; according to corporate policy, the director will fly economy class. The number of transfers is kept to a minimum (1), and tickets are booked in advance. The return flight will take place the next day after the end of the exhibition. The director will use the taxi as ground transportation. The director will use Blue Line taxi services to and from the airport at the local level. Blue Line Taxi provides booklets with information about taxis, and the fare is indicated in the general direction. Grand Hyatt Hong Kong does not offer a roundtrip airport transfer, so the manager will need to take a taxi from the airport (Grand Hyatt Hong Kong).

The Grand Hyatt, a Hong Kong hotel, was chosen to accommodate the guests of the exhibition; according to corporate policy, the director needs to book a single room (the total cost of the stay is indicated in the table). The estimated cost of meals is $200 per day, which is CAD $1,400 for the entire duration of the show. The total amount of additional expenses, such as tips, is CAD $100. The registration fee for participation in the exhibition is CAD $231.22. Costs are shown in both Canadian dollars (CAD) and Hong Kong dollars (HKD); The total cost of the trip is shown in Canadian dollars (CAD).
