Effective leadership involves understanding the fundamental factors that influence the leader and others. Further, it is essential to realize five main factors of self-awareness. These items include emotional intelligence, values, cognitive style, attitudes toward changes, and core self-evaluation (Whetten & Cameron, 2016). I believe the most important part for President Joe Biden is to be a more effective leader values. It includes improving the most valuable things for all populations, races, genders, and social classes. Such an approach will strengthen the social structure of the country and help it to be efficient both in internal and external decisions. Moreover, it contributes to strengthening the trust and support of the population, which also influences the effectiveness of management. It is due to the fact that a trusted leader will usually be more focused on strengthening the state.
The abovementioned can be confirmed by an example from real life, which is formulated by the recent decision of Joe Biden. This directive belongs to the spectrum of domestic politics and directly relates to the point of values. The decision was made about the indigenous peoples of the United States, which articulates one of the country’s core values, namely its history. According to this order, the government will improve public safety and criminal justice for Native Americans and address the crisis of missing or murdered indigenous people (Federal Register, 2022). It includes developing strategies to improve security and preventing and responding to violence against indigenous peoples. Certainly, it promotes an increase in the trust and sympathy of the indigenous population and other groups. It is formulated by people seeing how the state takes care of values, including the historical aspect.
