Availability of resources is one of the main factors to consider while deciding how to staff a project. This will help to ensure that the resources are optimally utilized to avoid wastage (Viter, 2021). It is possible to staff a dedicated team of resources if there is a constant, reliable supply; this can be cost-effective and speedy in terms of project completion. For the case of resources whose supply is unpredictable, a convenient method must be devised to minimize the cost of resources and the chances of stalling the project.
Cost of resources is another crucial consideration while staffing a team of resources. Some projects are cost-friendly when assigned a dedicated project team, while others are costly. Similarly, some projects are economical when done in bits, three days a week (Viter, 2021). Staffing a team depends on the availability of skills that will make the project meet deliverables (Software, 2021). Sometimes, skilled personnel required to execute a particular task might be occupied or assigned some other duties. This will require the project manager to develop a schedule for the days when the required personnel are available.
