Funding for Hope for New Life
Funding for non-profit church ministries has remained a challenging concern for most church ministries. The Hope for New Life ministries has come a long way in their course for improved finance status of the ministry (New Hope Ministries, 2003). Although the ministry has made these tremendous improvements, the ministry still faces numerous financial challenges. Currently, the church ministry has unveiled significant projects and support activities to target populations (New Hope Ministries, 2003). An analysis of the ministry’s funding source reveals that the church has a limited network plan for sourcing for financial support.
Current sources of finances for Hope for New Life
The Hope for Life ministries currently obtains financial aid from across the world through a number of mechanisms. The ministry has developed various partnership programs aimed at addressing the financial needs of the ministry. As a critical component of support, the ministry conducts conference activities seeking to source immediate financial support for its ministerial activities. Contributions that have come out of conference activities can be an appropriate process of obtaining immediate funding (Allison & Kaye, 2005). However, critics of this process assert that although the method is feasible, it does not promise long-term and sustainable support for the ministry (Wilbur, 2000).
The ministry has endeavored to undertake publications and scholarly works through research and development to boost its public image and goodwill. Most importantly, the process of involving in scholarly and evangelical publications under the burner of promoting the interests of the ministry has aimed at outsourcing for funds (Wilbur, 2000). Networking and connections by the church are some of the main forms of soliciting support from well-wishing organizations. Currently, the main aim of the ministry has been sourcing for finance as well as gaining roots for the furtherance of the mission of the church. The ministry has maintained a constant review of its network services for purposes of evangelical mission in the regions of concern (Allison & Kaye, 2005).
My role in improving the financial base of Hope for New Life
As a leader in the Hope for New Life Ministries, and based on the recent analysis of the status of the ministry, I am bound by the need to carry out activities that would ensure sufficient support for the church. First, on my agenda, I will seek to design new, pragmatic plans that will promise long-term and sustainable strategic partnerships with potential bodies.
The other significant item that I will seek to address is the need to develop a strategic plan that will ensure that the ministry creates overwhelming public confidence. The issue of proper financial reporting to the public to whom the ministry serves is fundamental to the ministry (Ronald & Landskroner, 2001). The method of utilizing a scholastic approach to publications through a team of scholars of color has yet to be explored by the ministry. Steering positive relationships with governmental bodies for the sake of gaining access to grants will be a major concern of my leadership role in the ministry.
Conclusion
Although the ministry has stepped up its effort to promote scholarship and leadership, I will be able to operationalize the program in line with the need to establish funding through research, independent publications, and educational materials. Although the current mechanisms and means of funding have been explored by the ministerial leadership, my role would be in furtherance of the existing means. The ministry will, under my leadership role, demonstrate the significance of the mission to the well-being of the host populations (Riggio & Orr, 2004). Therefore, my role will be to implement a program intended to realign various bodies with the ministry’s developmental activities.
