Role of mass media in the presentation of gender
The coherent society depends on the various means of media greatly. The rapid evolution of the technologies and their implementation into various aspects of the functioning of society impacted the significant increase in the efficiency of this very tool. Nowadays, the media influences peoples worldview and helps to tune the public opinion related to the most important issues. The question of gender could also be considered one of these crucial concerns that influence every individuals life.
There have been several various approaches and perspectives created at various stages of the evolution of society. Their formation was predetermined by the moral, policy, and values appreciated at a certain period. Yet, nowadays, we live in the age of media and its growing power. It could be considered a tool that creates a positive or negative image of every phenomenon important for people.
Besides, the question of gender always provides some grounds for numerous debates. In this regard, it is one of the most frequently discussed issues which is exploited by various means of media. They try to adhere to the dominant ideas. However, it is impossible not to admit the fact that the media also introduces new concepts and impacts gender questions greatly (Lantagne, 2014). For instance, numerous sources tend to proclaim sexual equality and promote the new pattern according to which gender is not the significant distinctive feature that impacts such aspects as a career, occupation, etc. (Lantagne, 2014).
Furthermore, the increased popularity of homosexual relations resulted in the degradation of borders between opposite genders. This process is supported by mass media which tries to attract attention to the topical problem and increase its importance and popularity.
Altogether, we could observe the great role media plays nowadays as is impacts all significant issues, including gender questions. It promotes the development of tolerance and the elimination of distinct boundaries within gender groups.

The increased significance of media also resulted in the appearance of some sources that tried to improve their image and obtained a great audience. Besides, the great level of rivalry impacted the way these sources work, their approach to the presentation of materials, and quality standards. The last concern becomes especially important in terms of the great torrents of information available for a common person.
The strangle of actors in the given sphere also impacted the credibility and relevance of data presented by various sources. People are attracted by unusual or unique stories that could initiate vigorous debates. This tendency is peculiar to small agencies that try to attract attention to their functioning.
At the same time, credible and popular sources adhere to other standards, trying to check the most important information and provide their audience with the relevant data which will help people to form their perspective on a certain ambiguous issue. This tendency is also peculiar to the manner of presentation of information as it also influences its analysis and understanding.
For these reasons, various media sources adhere to different standards in their functioning. Trying to attract new people and increase the popularity, they could choose different approaches to the content and the manner of presentation of the information. Yet, both these methods are popular and guarantee some positive results.
