The Central Tendency of Pain Measurement Principles

The central tendency of pain measurement principles was used in the study to outline the general tendency and aspects of pain management in public health care these are the data, associated with medical statistics, and the given data represents the amount of addiction, caused by the violation of pain management principles. Originally, the actual importance of this data is explained by the necessity to monitor the number of addicts. As pain management principles cause the increase of addicts, these should be improved. The data, given in the article is intended for further analysis and improvement of pain management principles.

As for the appropriate measure of the central tendency, it should be emphasized that the study is based on the concern level of the nursing personnel on the matters of addition, which resulted in improper pain management. Thus, the concern levels, represented in the article are as follows:

  • 66% are very likely
  • 16% somewhat likely
  • 9% unsure
  • 6% somewhat unlikely
  • 2% very unlikely

The importance of this data is explained by the possibility of analyzing the rates of addictions, and defining the growth or decline rates in the sphere of addictions.

The measures of variations define the amounts of medicines, used for the entire pain management principle. The variation data is closely associated with the necessity to monitor and regulate the flow of narcotic medicals, to minimize the rates of addictions, or at least keep these amounts within certain frames. The variation data, used in the study, is closely associated with the importance of improved pain management regulation, as the level of addictions is growing, and the variation data of these levels represent the actual rates of violations of PM principles.

The measurements of the study in comparison with standard normal distribution should be regarded from the perspective of the pain measurement principles, associated with monitoring those, who need drugs to cope with pain. Thus, the standard measurements, provided in the study are aimed to reveal the tendencies of pain detection, pain severity, rates of depression within patients with pain, and evaluating the pain in patients with substance abuse. Additionally, the represented measurements are closely associated with the aspects of personal and environmental variables, which are intended to define the central tendency of pain rates measurement, and further pain management principles. Comparing normal distribution and measurement data of the study, the conclusions, which should be emphasized are closely associated with the aspects of pain management necessity as well as the background of severe pain, which requires drug treatment.

Considering the statistics, represented in the study, as well as the rates of addictions and pain management rates, the conclusion, which is required should emphasize the importance of pain management principles improvement. Thus, the conclusion of the study can not be disagreed with. The retention of experienced licensed nursing personnel in initial assessment roles to improve the confidence and skills of less experienced staff is an important part of the solution in general. (Goebel, Cohen, et.al. 2009) Hence, the sphere lacks important nurses, while inexperienced workers are subjected to mistakes, and often become the reason for increased addictions. Finally, experienced workers will foster the education of newcomers, thus, decreasing the drug addiction rates caused by the violation of pain management principles.

The results of the research paper reveal the serious necessity for improving pain management principles and strategies. Thus, the monitoring system should be implemented for controlling the flow of pain management drugs and paying particular attention to patients with a history of substance abuse. Moreover, the retention of experienced workers should be compensated by employing and educating nursing personnel.
