Nurses should study, analyze, and identify the major issues affecting their patients (Gordon & Watts, 2011). This knowledge will make it easier for them to address such issues. That being the case, nurses should complete their studies using the best research methods. Such studies should also be done in a professional manner. Healthcare providers can use both qualitative and quantitative research methods. These methods will make it easier for them to get evidence-based information from their studies. Evidence Based Practice is supported by current information and knowledge (Stevens, 2013). Nurses should conduct numerous studies in order to understand the changes affecting different healthcare settings.

Nurses who use effective research methods will acquire new competencies and ideas. They will also use such skills to improve the quality of care availed to different patients. Caregivers should also use different research methods in a competent manner. Such methods will encourage them to identify new technologies, practices, and approaches that can improve the nature of nursing. The nurses will also understand the unique risk factors affecting different populations (Gordon & Watts, 2011). This practice will ensure such nurses implement Evidence Based Practice in a successful manner. Nurses should embrace the power of Evidence-Based Practice in order to produce the best medical results. Many countries across the globe are supporting the use of EBP. The article “Evidence-Based Practice: A Survey among Pediatric Nurses and Pediatricians” examines how different nurses in the Netherlands are embracing the power of evidence-based practice (EBP). According to the article, nurses and pediatricians in the Netherlands have been using EBP approaches to deliver quality care. About 75 percent of these practitioners have been using EBP in order to achieve the best results (Maaskant, & Knops, Ubbink, & Vermeulen, 2012). They have been conducting new studies in order to come up with better practices. This approach continues to support the needs of many patients.
