In any field of knowledge, only those pieces of information that have credibility and guarantee honesty can be reputable data sources. This analytical article’s authors were two men who have both actual law enforcement practice and professorships at relevant universities under their belt (Gardner & Reece, 2012). In other words, the authors have theoretical knowledge and understand how to use it in practice. Therefore, the text seems convincing because it is not difficult to believe the professionals. Moreover, the writers’ information is easily verified through Google, where one can find additional information confirming their competence: work experience, biography, or writings. Confidence is also felt in the text read: it has an academic style, fifteen citations, and a breakdown into semantic sections. This not only simplifies the perception of the information presented but also shows the authors’ skill in combining and dividing all the material into separate meanings.
