Booker Taliaferro Washington’s principles comprised the incensement of economic opportunity for African Americans. Providing the economical opportunities he wanted to improve the life of African Americans at the expense of their equality with Native Americans. These ideas were later called the Atlanta Compromise. W. E. B. Du Bois contradicted such intentions and was against racial discrimination and racial inferiority, he was supported citizens’ equality. Being in the side of African Americans, they supported different ideas, such as Washington was for economical independence of African Americans and Bois for persona.
Niagara Movement was the movement organized by Du Bois and other African Americans with the aim to maintain justice. Their aim was to provide the equality of African Americans and Native Americans. The members of the Niagara Movement concentrated their demands on the opportunity to get equal education for all and to have equal civil and political rights. This movement was the base for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and began to publish their unofficial journal. Nevertheless, Niagara Movement could not become the distinctive national voice.

The whole society was shocked, the problem was that the colored person managed to his superiority under the white man. The Congress was shocked, the video with the fight was forbidden in order to avoid racial violence in the society. The decision to the problem appeared, James J. Jeffries was persuaded to regain the price for the white race. James J. Jeffries was defeated by Jack Johnson again. This meant that the African American nation is more powerful than white one.
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People was founded May 31 – June 1, 1909 on the meeting in New York by African Americans and white radicals. The intentions of NAACP were to provide equality for all people. Their methods and strategies were different. The NAACP published their journal where wrote different articles and stories with the aim to awake national feelings of African Americans and to show that the nation has responsibilities before them. They also insisted on turning to court in the case when African Americans’ rights are not followed.
The Great American Migration took place in 1910 – 1920s, where African American population of the South became to migrate to the North releasing from racial discrimination and taking up more payment jobs. According to statistical data, The South lost about 8.2% of African American population (323,000 in 1910 and 615,000 in 1920. After the World War I, the North began to invite African Americans to work on the North as industrial branched needed working hands, as war was the barer between America and Europe. African Americans wanted to go to the North as they were tired from the treatment on the South.
The problem of African Americans in the USA has been solved. The Law proclaimed equal rights for all, African Americans are not slaves any more, and they have the same rights and opportunities as Native Americans, but still the problem remains. Some people still have some prejudices in reference to African Americans. To solve the problems the punishment for racial discrimination should be toughed with the public apologize and price for moral harm increased.
