Introduction
The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) is a highly sought-after and effective organization dedicated to providing the highest quality of healthcare services to citizens. However, it is important to emphasize that a lot of controversies have arisen around the activities and policies of this organization. Therefore, I would like to share my position on key issues and make several suggestions.
- It is necessary to eliminate the penalties for individuals for not providing health insurance and for employers for not providing insurance.
- Subsidization of insurance purchases should not be stopped since this is the main advantage of the insurance institute.
- The system of tax benefits should be based not on the income of citizens but on age.
Reasons of Reformation
The most important reason for reforming the health insurance system is to improve the well-being of citizens. It must be emphasized that the treatment of these diseases must be facilitated with the help of safety mechanisms (Kearney et al., 2021). However, this is now complicated by significant shortcomings in the current system. Therefore, it is necessary to change the criteria according to which the system of tax benefits should work. The way of distributing benefits based on the income of the population is discriminatory and inefficient since the poor are cut off from necessary assistance. Young people are usually better off than pensioners because they have constant sources of income and financial assistance from their families (Kearney et al., 2021). From this follows the need to develop a system of incentives for the provision of insurance. Finally, from a more pragmatic point of view, such actions will increase the level of trust and satisfaction of citizens in the health care system and government.
Case Scenario
To correctly characterize the process of applying to the legislature, it is necessary to consider the representative with whom communication will take place. Marjorie Taylor Greene is an entrepreneur, politician, and member of the Trump administration. The feasibility study allows us to attribute it to the Republican Party, which has already commented several times on the current AHCA system. In particular, we can conclude that our views on some components of the issue under consideration will coincide, which means that it will be easier to reach a compromise. The fact that Marjorie Taylor Greene is an entrepreneur shows that she can look at issues from a pragmatic perspective, which means she can understand the need to build citizen confidence. The representative’s affiliation with the Republican Party predetermines her oppositional views on the AHCA, which in part favorably affects the chances of approving the proposed reforms.
When considering the specific points on which attention should be focused, it is necessary to highlight the three highest priorities. The first point is the revision of the criteria for the regulation of tax benefits in the field of insurance. Marjorie Taylor Greene shares my point of view, which means that there is a high probability that the reform will be adopted either in its form or with minor amendments and adjustments. The second point is to highlight the penalties for not providing insurance, where the proposed ideas are fundamentally at odds with the representative. The fact is that insurance itself is a voluntary and not mandatory option, therefore coercive measures are inappropriate here. Instead of fining and sanctioning specific individuals, it would be more efficient to create a range of instruments that would encourage insurance coverage. For example, the process of providing insurance would provide additional labor security for the employer. Nevertheless, as described above, the motivational nature of the process is always more effective than the punitive one. This will help to convince Marjorie Taylor Greene, but it is worth taking into account her experience and practice. Proceeding from this, it is logical to assume that none of the points of view will be accepted in its pure form; accordingly, a compromise must be sought that will suit both sides. However, when trying to agree on it, it is worth considering that it should be relevant and convenient, first of all, for the population of the country. Finally, the third point is to emphasize the proposed ways of financing and subsidizing the insurance itself. This is the most difficult aspect because it requires serious expenses on the part of the state and state organizations. However, with proper regulation of expenditure items, together with the entrepreneurial experience of Marjorie Taylor Greene, it will be possible to resolve this dilemma.
In the end, to show the authority and thoughtfulness of my proposals, it is necessary to appeal to our own experience in the field of healthcare. The advantage of my point of view will be that I have experience working with patients, therefore, by citing statistical data, it will be possible to explain the need for insurance. The fact is that the most complex and dangerous diseases require treatment, which is expensive both for patients and for the polyclinics themselves. At the same time, viral diseases are also dangerous for the staff themselves, who will also need help in case of infection. Thus, insurance protects and protects not only the sick but also healthy citizens who can potentially get sick. Finally, insurance covers most of the costs, making the system more efficient and treatment more affordable. Another qualitative argument based on practice may be that among some segments of the population, the level of trust in the state is rather low. As a result of communication with people, it has been found that patients do not see support from the health system for those who are sick or in need of medical care. As a result, in addition to political consequences, this leads to increased stress and apathy. The fact is that feeling abandoned in the context of health increases the number of thoughts about death or uselessness, which leads to depression.
Conclusion
Currently, depressive episodes and frustration are among the most dangerous problems for the mental health of society. At the same time, any age is susceptible to such disorders, so the country’s economy can suffer. This is explained by the fact that there is a very specific correlation between the mental health of employees and the quality of the work performed. Finally, if this sphere of life is launched, then soon patients will influence the quality of work in all areas, from business to teaching. As a result, in the future, the country’s economy will begin to lose ground due to a significant decrease in the efficiency of organizations whose resources are people. All the information described above should have the necessary influence on the decision of the representative so that the ideas about the reformation were analyzed, perhaps partially modified, but eventually began to be realized.
