AI usage in modern warfare
The question of AI usage in modern warfare is topical these days. I have never heard of the controversial Project Maven. Still, I have looked it up, and it sounds bizarre to think that regular Google employees could be involved with the Department of Defense. Shockingly, someday data that we provide to Google could be used against us. Although using unmanned fighter jets sounds positive, people also need to remember that the warfare inventions are not limited to only one country. Other countries could easily make dupes after proper research. While the use of AWS creates a political and ethical dilemma, several years later, AWS could be used against enemy AWS. Would that be considered normal in ethical and political aspects? The presentation is well organized, with distinct pauses between positive and negative, however the audio was a bit quiet.
AI usage in healthcare
In the current situation with the ongoing pandemic, the question of Artificial Intelligence used in healthcare is extremely important. The provided example with algorithm usage in disease determination is valid as we already have felt the positive use of algorithms in our daily life. The robots’ usage in some hospitals sounds new and exciting to me. Have you thought of a mental healthcare aspect of the question? Chatbots, for example, could be used in some cases of Depression (Dosovitsky et al., 2020). Besides, do you think the health data exposure is more threatening or a human error possibility? Health data exposure might be a serious problem, but the consequences of human error might go a lot deeper, and only one person would be considered guilty. The audio/video quality was great, and the overall presentation was engaging.
