Aspects of Death Penalty Acceptance

Introduction

The death penalty is a form of punishment that should be used to justify criminals when they commit severe crimes against other people and to decrease the rate of crimes across the country.

Discussion

The topic of the death penalty is deeply rooted in ancient times, and many arguments can be proposed to support the existence of the punishment. For example, it is correct to use this type of sentence in case of serial killings when getting rid of one human life can save dozens of other individuals. It rarely takes a lot of time to conduct death punishment, but the outcome can bring more positive aspects (Baumgartner et al., 2017). A common example could be possible in the world’s history at the beginning of World War II when Hitler terrorized Europe with his politics. Fritz (2018) has explained the possible life without this negative figure in history and what would happen if Hitler was killed before the beginning of the war. This leader’s story can help explain why death penalties should exist in the modern world.

Death penalties should also play a significant role in the decrease in the world’s population. Severe crimes like killing and raping people are punishable by imprisonment in many countries, but sentences that include death can allow for a decrease in the overcrowding of prisons and spending less money on the support of similar organizations. The problem of overpopulation can be seen in the example of the experience in China when families were not allowed to have more than one baby (Baus, 2017). A human being might start following animal behavior with other people, and this problem may provoke more killings around the world. Fictional literature can help dive into the research question and explain the earth’s possible future without death penalties.

Death-related punishments are allowed in several states of the USA, and the declining process has been captured through time. Garrett et al. (2017) have shown that people are becoming more afraid of committing a crime when they understand the following sentence. Moreover, the allowance of the death punishment can decrease the percentage of risk of escaping prison. In some cases, well-equipped jails may not imitate these risks. Life in prison sentences can motivate criminals to spend all their lives producing a structured escape plan. Death punishments for severe crimes may allow lawyers and other workers in law enforcement to focus more on other spheres to protect innocent citizens.

Conclusion

Families who lost someone loved can stay secure if the criminal is sentenced to death punishment. Even though the number of dead people will increase, other citizens will be able to forget about the situation quicker and avoid paranoid thoughts. The individuals who commit a crime do not deserve sympathy, and death acts can become the most available option for victimized families to cope with the pain. Every case is unique, and in most occasions, the final decision can be given to the closes people of the victim to decide the future of the killer or abuser. The exitance of the death penalty should not be related to every criminal, but it might help to solve rare situations and ensure that the situation will not happen again in the future.
